Product Description

Weaponized anthrax. So deadly a mere gram has over 100 million lethal doses, and terrorists are now in possession of it. When the world's intelligence agencies are unable to locate the extremists before they unleash their pandemic, governments turn to the Friends From Damascus. This rogue counterterrorist team will go anywhere and take any risk to deliver their form of justice to extremists. But this time the team faces an unexpected challenge from within its own elite ranks.
Their newest member, Katya Petrova, has lost all faith in humanity - the world's and her own. Her bleak and ravaged past as a Russian agent has destroyed her sense of self-worth. Before the team can hunt down the terrorists and the toxin, Petrova must learn to believe in herself again. Then she must earn the trust of the team's sniper, Joe Proffitt.
Outcast, mercenary, convict and founding member of Friends From Damascus, Proffitt's brutal life has taught him that all people are either hunter or prey. This former Marine and lone wolf trusts no one - so why should he trust scarred and hardened Katya Petrova?

I've read them all and although a bit softened by the mandatory love angle in each book, they are well told stories. Some of the combat detail shows that the writer has knowledge or experience. Modern combat elements well researched as close to realistic.

5.0 out of 5 stars I LIKED this book also-- this is my 2nd attempt at providing review... dear Amazon-- 11 Jun 2012

Befriending one's favorite author has its perks. I received an e-mail earlier tonight (now yesterday) from Mr. Happy stating that "Hunter of Gunmen" was (finally-- little dig at author) available. Well, I've been down this literary road before: meeting the new characters, getting reacquainted with the old ones, noting the hints of what lurks down the road... all precisely (and seemingly effortlessly for the author) laid out over several introductory chapters. At any moment... I know the action will ramp-up and off we go non-stop at warp speed.
Ha! but the clock keeps circling around and midnight approaches and i have places to go, things to do tomorrow! But how does one simply put this book (like the two that preceded it) down? ONLY with difficulty. I have had the experience of staying up all night once before reading its predecessor, so I now know I simply must put the book aside for the night and start again tomorrow... ha. If it were only that easy... It's tempting to keep nibbling away chapter by chapter risking the sun coming up as I race through the chapters. But not this time, Mr. Happy! I'm going to bed (but keeping the kindle close by... just in case). So, when's book #4 coming out?

5.0 out of 5 stars And the hits keep on coming 10 July 2012

So I might be a little biased, seeing as Joe has been my favorite character since the beginning, couple that with the cliff hanger ending of the second book- I could not wait to get my hands on this book and I was not disappointed. The Hunter of Gunmen kept me reading late into the night, I just couldn't put it down. With the addition of a new member to the team we get to see the relationships that develop between the team members and get a sense of who they are. I believe that this series could captivate any type of reader and keep them wanting more. I for one am excited to see what Cliff Happy comes up with next.

This is a specific series of stories with a group of rogue characters as a team.
This is my third Friends From Damascus book....
The subtitle sort of throws you off if you hadn't heard of the books.
If I may, I will translate Friends of Damascus into Enemies of Terrorists.
If you like Seal Team type of books with a twist, this is for you.
