The perfermers on this cd are of the first rate calibre. Ziezack is a completely delightful girlish gretel who is complemented with excellence by Larmore's incouragable boyish Hansel. Schwarz is the perfect choice for the nibble witch, Behrens brings out the characteristics completely as the mother and Weikl is in superb voice and an exemplary father. Joshua and Schafer round of the cast with magic in their characters of the sandman and the dewman.
