This is a good quality skull at an affordable price! I bought this skull because it included a stand which makes it easier to use when drawing it. I have read and heard that an artist should learn to draw the human skull from every angle because it is a good foundation to drawing and painting the human head with authority and accuracy. The skull is life-size and anatomically accurate. It is molded in bone white plastic. The skull is not light weight nor to heavy, but to me it feels like a moderate weight size. When skull is placed on stand it is 10 1/2" tall. This kit also comes with anatomy chart and assembly instructions. Easy assemble. You will need to buy glue. You can also paint it if you want to. There are 12 parts: 1) top of skull - skull cap) 2) middle of skull - eyes, nose, upper mouth 3) bottom of skull - moveable jaw 4) nasal bone 5) small wings of sphenoid bone 6) teeth 7-10) four separate parts of the brain 11-12) two part stand - pole and base. You will definitely have to use glue for the teeth because the teeth are not attached to the mouth. I also used glue for the nasal bone, sphenoid bone, and top of skull because I wanted a sturdy skull that can move around without these pieces falling off. If you want to use the brain parts, don't glue top of skull. The removable skull cap allows the brain to be displayed in or out of the skull.
