4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the buy, 6 Feb 2006

Very much worth the buy if you have never seen Human League and only remember them from your junior school disco's! If you are ultra critical it seems that the girls need to pick up on the singing a little. Phil is awesome but does strain his voice in places bearing in mind it's the last show after a long tour! Whoever mixed the DVD should have left at least some effects on the vocals, it's sounds a little like a front of house mix that you are listening to. Vocal mix is completely dry and unforgiving. On the up side I saw Human League for the first time and really enjoyed it along with the Extras on the DVD (Extremely good fun!). The extra band members on this tour are great!

5.0 out of 5 stars THE HUMAN LEAGUE AT THERE VERY BEST!, 31 Jan 2006

At long last we have what amounts to a rare filmed live concert some 23 years on from the beginning of the band.Filmed in Brighton in 2003 they perform a brilliant 19 tracks from the broad range of there past hits. Also included are about 4 tracks from there 2001 album 'secrets', which failed to set the world on fire.Phill Oakey is still in fine voice and so are the Girls.I have always found the Girls voices weak and flat, but Phill manages to bring life to the songs like no other. There is a fine 55 minute interview on the special features and some backstage material. As a fan I would recommend this as top of the list for the collection. After all it might be another 10 years before we get another live filmed concert !.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good concert, 3 Aug 2011

Very good concert. I think they could use the older analog synthesizers. They still sound better than the new ones. Philip Oakey still have his great voice. Susan Ann Sulley and Joanne Catherall still very atractive. They are a living legend of synth pop. The scene they are rehearsing is fabulous. The pure voices of them singing are like something of the early days of synth pop come to life in the present in front of you.
