Format: Paperback
This is a book which brings you down to earth and tells you about a forgotten age when industrial life was nasty, brutish and short. Life was neither healthy nor safe.

A clearly written and exhaustive report on the life of children working in industry in the 1840's. A truly eye-opening read and full of social history of the industrial revolution.
