Product Description

"If we did not evolve from apes, then where did we come from?" Human Devolution is Michael Cremo's definitive answer to this question. In his characteristic style of meticulous documentation and research, Cremo offers a fresh and scientifically based perspective on human origins, with an emphasis on state-of-the-art consciousness studies. Take a fascinating tour through incredible enigmas of time and space, ranging from Precambrian microfossils to black holes to the planets of demigods, and discover how we devolved from pure consciousness to this earthly realm.

5.0 out of 5 stars this is a serious book 30 Dec 2013
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
I didn't know what to expect when I picked this up and started reading. I'm aware that this Cremo fellow is a follower of the Krishna religion and in here he refers to his guru and like all those Western devotees, he reckons that his guru knows everything.

However, this book isn't really about all that and so it is very serious and Cremo shows how you can fudge the fossils and come up with your own interpretations. How do we know that the orthodox interpretation is correct?

Indeed, Cremo is into the Vedas, but so was Erwin Schrodinger and Robert Oppenheimer and so this isn't a reason to be critical of the mans work.

The chapter on Alfred Russell Wallace is a must for those who are fed up with the natural selection cancels out the spirit interpretation.

This book deserves to be read. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Eye opener 30 Jan 2009
I first became aware of the author (Michael Cremo) after hearing him talk on American radio station "Coast to Coast AM" via Youtube.
I'm adding to the previous reviewers' text.

The book comprises archeology, spirituality, genetics, quantum physics, the origins of humans and possible alien intervention (millions) of years ago. The author also provides solid proof of the human devolution and related subjects.
Anyone interested in archeology/paleontology should pick this book up, you might be shocked to read what the mainstream is not telling.
Most of the pages are devoted to case studies, but I found that there was just too many case studies. Easily 10 per subject. I found myself skipping some pages.
This is also a good introduction to spirituality and if you have been reading what you where taught at school/church, this book would be an eye opener.
Excellent work :))

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book - a must read 27 Jan 2004
By A Customer
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
Michael Cremo does to the theory of evolution exactly what he did to archaeology.
As with his previous book it is excellently researched, documented and referenced. Step by step he takes the reader through the flaws in the evolution concept put forward by Darwin.
Whilt the title states that it is a Vedic alternative, Cremo is sympathetic to other beleif systems, including alternative cosmological views.
This is an excellent book which complements his previous work.

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential Reading 13 Nov 2006
By Kushal
Mindblowing research and flawless arguments. One of the greatest pieces of independent research this century.

If you are studying human biology, anthropology or any subject in which you must almost blindly accept "evolution" - then this is essential reading!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fascinating read! 9 Aug 2014
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Fabulous book which really floats my boat. Well presented research that is difficult to argue with in the main. A must read for anyone who has doubts about the nonsense we are fed by well oiled establishments in the scientific and archeological/historical world.
