Product Description

Product Description

Nestled deep in the heart of Pennsylvania is the small borough of Hull's Landing. While it may seem like just an ordinary place, The Landing holds a secret so dark, that there are those who will do anything to protect it.

For decades, young girls have been disappearing like clockwork. While some have their suspicions, the entire town lives in fear - and for good reason. When Rita Clemens, a former member of the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, decides to make her new home in Hull's, she begins to uncover what the locals have tried to keep hidden for so long.

As the race against time begins, Rita will have to do everything she can to protect herself, and to save a child's life, before one of the world's oldest evils can be unleashed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable shock horror. 5 May 2011

Format:Kindle Edition
I read this book without reading the blurb so I didnt know anything about it but had heard good things and this book did not disappoint. It definitely hooks you in from the start and shocks you from page one (both in a good and bad way - not bad about the writing or the story itself but more whats happening!) This is a very good Good Vs Evil story. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and the twists and turns it took and read it in a night - literally couldn't put it down! This is one author I will be keeping a close eye on!

1.0 out of 5 stars Pretty terrible 15 Mar 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
Only downloaded this as it was free and I thought it was going to be a credible detective story/thriller. Turned out to be sensationalist schlocky pseudo~horror about the devil taking human form and terrorising a small American town, which actually makes it sound better than it is. One to avoid.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not good 10 Feb 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
I disliked this book a lot for two reasons, one my own fault and one definitely not.

First, like several reviewers, I allowed myself to be misled into thinking this was a crime thriller, and the blurb did nothing to dispel that. Had I read other reviews, I would have seen it was actually a supernatural story and not my type of thing. In fact, reading the reviews would have saved me from enduring this book at all.

On to the second reason. I love my Kindle, I really do. But for crying out loud. Tripe like this, littered with grammatical, spelling and punctuation errors would never see the light of day in print. While the digital age makes reading, (and writing), more accessible, which can only be a good thing, surely one should possess a decent level of literacy to produce a novel or written work. At the very least, investing in the services of a decent proof reader or editor would be a good idea.

In summary, a ridiculous plot, pathetic characters, terrible writing and a plethora of errors. Don't bother. No, seriously, don't .
