Product Description

Features

1. Smart sensitive performer
Varying the pressure of the pen against the tablet can create variations in line width and opacity, which makes you feel as if you are drawing with a real pen. With 2048 levels of pen pressure sensitivity, Huion H610 Pro gives strokes of what you demand.

2. accurate recognition of your artwork
5080 lines per inch resolution and 233 revolutions per second reporting rate let you create your artwork accurately and smoothly.

3. battery free stylus
The H610 Pro comes with a Huion P80 rechargeable pen, which is slimmer and lighter than the Huion P68 battery-needed pen. The best part of a rechargeable pen is you don't need to charge it constantly because it lasts 800 hours after every 2-hour charge.

4. time savers to speed your workflow
8 physical express-keys on the left and 16 hot cells on the top of the tablet are all customizable, which provides you a plethora of ways to tailor your software experience and raise your work efficiency.

5. ultra thin & large active area
At a centimeter deep, Huion H610 Pro has a 10'' x 6.25'' workspace for you to show your talent on, which is the right size that does everything but get in your way.

Bought this instead of a Wacom Intuos Pro medium, this has comparable specifications (pressure levels etc) and is WAY cheaper. Main difference is that this is wired to your PC via USB and I think the Huion has a slightly larger active drawing area. The Wacom Intuos Pro does have touch controls too but I doubt I would use these enough to warrant the additional spend. I have only got an old Wacom 3 to compare to so can't comment further of any direct comparisons.

The short cut keys down the left are exactly the ones I would have wanted by default (pan, brush size up/down,zoom, eraser, undo) and after using it for a while having an eraser key is actually much convenient than having it on the back of your pen like the Wacoms do.

There is also a row of short cuts on the top of the active drawing area which you can quickly tap with a pen to activate while working, very handy. All the short cuts are completely customizable with the provided software, even lets you deactivate these short cut key areas so you can reclaim some active drawing area.

So far I'm very happy I chose the Huion over the Wacom, it does really seem like you're just paying a lot extra for the "industry standard" brand with the Wacom.

I'm extremely new to art/drawing, but I knew that I didn't want to do it on pen and paper. So, after much reading, I bought a Huion.

I'm going to give the good and the bad. And since the good outweighs the bad, I'll start with the bad to get it over with:

THE BAD:

- The drivers are a pain to install. A disc comes with the tablet, plus you can download one from the Huion website. But I had to e-mail support because neither worked. (They did, however, send me a new driver and this worked perfectly first time).

- Don't bother reading the manual. I am a Mac user, and the Mac installation guide starts off as a Mac guide, then switches to a Windows guide, so I had to figure any troubleshooting out by myself.

THE NEUTRAL:

- The tablet is big. 10x6 is the size of the tracking surface, the frame of the tablet goes out several inches from this. Not a bad point, but something to note for anyone with limited room.

- The pen/tablet settings are hidden away in the Applications folder on a Mac (nothing pops up on-screen and the guide gives no indication of course since it talks about PC not Mac), go to Applications > PenTabletSetting to pick your settings.

- I was hoping the pen buttons could be programmed to undo/redo or zoom, but they only act as normal mouse buttons (there are limited options in the settings). This isn't a bad thing, just a personal preference of mine.

- It makes 'drawing noises' when you sketch, and can get quite loud. Doesn't bother me, but some may wish to note this. I've actually seen someone buy another tablet because theirs DIDN'T make the noise they wanted.

THE GOOD:

- E-Mail support is VERY quick.

So i've got 4 different graphic tablets now, this being the forth, and i've got to say it's a great piece of equipment.

i have a monoprice 12x9, Huion H58L, and Wacom pen and touch. The weakest being the wacom, and yet also at the time of purchase, most expensive.

important features being:
10 x 6.25 active area, equals to about a medium wacom surface.
5k LPI
233 response revolutions per second, nice.
2k pressure (pen)
grainy surface, not as grainy as the H58L though, so not awesome pencil sounds =(
very slim tablet and pen, and perhaps the most sexiest of graphic tablets out there, beside Wacom's.

My reasoning for purchasing this, even though i already had a large surface 12x9 one, was because i had the H58L actually, nice more grainy surface, making those lovely drawing sounds, along with somehow the 5k LPI doing some magic compared to 4k LPI, i guess, because it just got easier sketching most things, so i wanted to get a larger surface of Huion, which is this one.

Hard to install? NOPE.

How to do it properly? Sure! Unplug any graphic tablets, then uninstall all tablet drivers, if you got windows tablet drivers, uninstall those as well, if it asks for restart afterwards, do it, then you can install the driver for this baby, and after that restart you should be able to plug it in BUT NOT BEFORE.

And it works wonderfully too.

Remember to get the newest drivers from Huion's own site, and if you got old, remember the above install method, also applies to updates.

I already had the bat free ion powered pen before this purchase, and it's fantastic to have another spare, because these are expensive, buying them stand alone is half the price of the whole package, ouch!

Excellent piece of kit, that puts much (much) more expensive brands to shame.
Hopefully this will bring this technology back to more reasonable prices overall.
Checked out reviews on this prior to purchasing.
Only gripes in those past reviews were over driver issues (not with package, hard to get working from website).
Everyone said it was a wonderful product apart from that issue.
Huion have now overcome this by including a CD with drivers (as standard) and the installation is seamless and I have had no issues whatsoever.
So a product which was previously reviewed just a shade under 5* now has a well earned full 5* (could be six in my opinion!)
Really cant recommend it enough, a great addition to my graphic arsenal!!
Really, get one you wont be disappointed.
