Like the previous reviewer, my wife and I found that these nappies were great during the day for regular changes but they tend to leak during the night because they don't hold enough. This isn't too much of a problem - it just means more changes during the night or early morning.

We bought some of these as opposed to Pampers Size 1 as they were on offer at our local supermarket. They have a cutout on the front which is great for healing umbilical stumps as it allows the air to get to it to dry it out. The nappies feel lovely & the design is cute - Winnie the Pooh but we found these leak MUCH more often than the Pampers equivalent, it would appear they do not soak up the runny newborn poo as well, so after a few ruined vests, sleepsuits & even our clothing(!) I'm afraid we won't be buying Huggies again.

My baby girl has mostly worn these since birth due to the fabulous price and that we wanted her umbilical cord to be able to dry out quickly and not be aggravated when it did come off. The nappies are so soft and those times you forget to apply the cream, don't upset the baby at all. Yes, they can leak sometimes, but so too have the others that we have tried her in. Even if they were more absorbent as other reviewers suggest they should be, my serial-nighttime-pooper always cries within a few minutes of leaving a "gift" to have her nappy changed anyway.
On the down side, they did start leaking at night when her weight reached 4kg, but before then we loved them - certainly more than store brands which had to be changed every hour due to not being as absorbent.

I usually buy Pampers but I wanted to give a try to Huggies as well .... not satisfied at all : if you don't change your baby every 3 hours they will not contain the liquid. Read more
