These mittens are underrated over the internet, so i thought i would tell you how i got on with them.
I brought these mittens after seing MIC instructors useing them in the caingroms and in europe. Before purchancing them i had to get more info. I found the site CAVE & CRAG. some of the reviews on the site were quite in deph about how they dont preform and the way they dont provide protection from the wind. So i decided to buy them anyway.
The next day my tutor brought in a pair of his for free. He had used them all around the world and in a avalanche in itally. He said without them he would had lost fingers to frost bite (still in prime condition). So i endded up with two pairs of wool mitts for the price off one and a bad back.
These mittens are recomeded for climbing, mountaineering and alpine skills but can be used for skiing and walking. They are not waterproof but they hold a tight weave and still contain thier oil which makes them extremely water and wind resistant. Now i would recomned them to anyone, but if you like to have a grip on things they are not for you, if you suffer from cold hads and wrists then these are a good buy. you can wear a pair of soft shell gloves under them like the Black Diamond pilot or go bear.
I have two medium pairs and my hands a quite big.
