I would have rated this five stars, no question, but mine has recently stopped working properly. The WAN side of things - connecting to the phone network via 3G or 4G - still appears to work, but WiFi has stopped working altogether after a brief period of it being very hit and miss. Amazon Customer Service have been brilliant, as ever, and I'm waiting for a replacement to arrive now. Fingers-crossed the new item will not fail in the same way, as when they're working, these little things are fantastic!
I used to use a Novatel Wireless MiFi 2352 (one of the first mobile router type devices to hit the market, several years ago) and it was pretty good, but the lack of display was annoying and the battery life was quite poor. It couldn't do LTE/4G either, of course.
The Huawei E5776 addresses all of those issues brilliantly - performance is excellent when in an area with decent coverage and the battery life is incredible: it will last a whole working day of light usage. And using the included accessory, you can use it to charge your smartphone in an emergency.
The copy I got (sold by Amazon) was a proper factory-unlocked/SIM-free model with original Huawei firmware - not an after-market unlocked EE-branded model like some of the marketplace sellers seem to be flogging.
Apart from the fact that the wifi stopped working for apparently no reason, I love mine. I'm willing to give it the benefit of the doubt and hopefully I was just unlucky...
