Hozelock 2055 Aquastop Hose Connector for 12.5-15 mm (1/2 in & 5/8 in) Hose HOZ2055
The Aqua Stop connector has an internal valve that stops the water flow when an accessory (eg a spraygun) is disconnected. This saves having to go back to the tap to turn the water off when switching between accessories. It also helps save water in the garden by stopping the water flow, thus preventing water being wasted.
All internal parts are made from ultra tough engineering plastics for a long leak free life and the connection to the tap is guaranteed secure up to 10 bar, thanks to a triple locking system. The sleeve is easy to use even when wet due to the twin soft touch pads and the hose remains securely connected via the barbs that connect with the inside and outside of the hose. Hose kinking, swelling, and leaking at the connection point with the fitting is virtually eliminated due to the ingenius flexible hose-tail on the nut.
Suitable for use with all 12.5mm (1/2 inch) and 15mm (5/8 inch) hose diameters.

To my great amazement, the Hozelock Aquastop I bought through Amazon is working exactly as Hozelock promised it would. Being a cynical old bird, I had doubts when I ordered it but thought it wasn't too much money to waste if it was useless. I'm delighted to say that so far it's working fine and now that I've also bought a top quality metal Hozelock spray gun for the hose as well my watering chores couldn't be easier or personally drier. Great product.

This is a robust connector that is very easy to fit, is man enough to be tugged around the garden without complaint, and most importantly, there is not the slightest hint of a drip when sprayers or trigger guns are attached and detached.

This is a great improvement over the older connector. The flexibility makes it much less likely to come off as the hose is pulled around the garden.
