This is a much sturdier version of the old 3/4" plastic hozelock tap connector being made of nickeled brass. It is excellent quality and will withstand the rigours of a British climate without relenting like the old plastic versions which tended to get brittle and crack if left outdoors for long periods of time. The only let down is the use of plastic for the 1/2" white connector (seen in the picture) but seeing as most outdoor taps are 3/4" connections this is only a minor gripe.

Excellent product. The metal construction comes into its own when there is relatively frequent connection and disconnection. The seal at the tap end is about the same as if the plastic threaded tap hose connector is used.
