The Hozelock watering retaining gel is the fastest acting water retaining gel available. It absorbs moisture within the compost to create miniature reservoirs of water around the roots of the plants, which is released slowly as and when the plants need it. This significantly reduces the amount of water needed, frequency of watering and lasts an entire season. Contains 250ml of water storing gel and slow release plant food. A great way to save water and a great help to your garden.

Very easy to use. I like the fact that you can mix it dry and just wet it when yu water the plants. At 2tsps per hanging basket it should do all my bedding this summer. Here's hoping for huge blooms

I followed the instructions and filled my baskets accordingly. I suppose it's too soon to comment on the feed part of the product, but I have to say that even after a week, the plants look happier. Certainly the gel in the product must be doing its job as the amount of water the baskets took initially was phenomenal. The instructions tell you to add water and then after an hour add more water. The instructions also say that you need only water about once a week. As it has rained in the past week I haven't been able to try this out, but certainly the compost is loaded with water but not soaking wet if you know what I mean. The instructions also tell you how much gel and feed to add depending on the size of the basket which is important I would think.
I will certainly buy this product again and would recommend it to anyone who doesn't always have the time to water every single day.

This product arrived quickly and well packaged.
I have yet to use it, as the weather has been a little too cold to get hanging baskets out, but i shall be using it this week as plants are at the ready now. I have never had the gel combined with the feed before, so am looking forward not to keep having to worry about feeding the plants. Many thanks.
