I am a Huge Shelly Laurenston fan, she could write the phone book and I would read it for the one liners! I also like Cynthia Eden's series's so this was a good buy for me, and it didn't let me down! I adored Eggie in previous Pride books, so I loved reading his story and Cynthia Eden wrote a good story too, I prefered Shelly Laurneston but I am a bit biased, but worth the money and two good stories for your money that aren't too short either loved it!

Like a Wolf With a Bone is the first part of the book by Shelly Laurenston it is the story of how Dee-Ann (character from the series )parents,Eggie and Darla Mae got together and got their HEA, Eggie is a killer, and he loves his job. Darla is a pacifist, who's two sisters are with two of Eggies brothers. Darla is saved by Eggie when she is attacked in the woods by her house by humans sent to kill her after she witness's a murder she doesn't know she saw, whew! Eggie takes her to his base to treat her wounds and along the way to his house after, realises Darla isn't scared of him, infact she thinks his sweet! so its clear she is the girl for him, the two of them just click and this was such a good book I love the banter in Shelly Laurenstons books and the parts where Darlas sisters bait her about knwing Charles Manson had me laughing out loud, it was great to see Eggie as a younger man and I loved the epiloge with Dee-Ann, loved it and as always after reading one of these books I just want to go back and start at pack challange and keep going to the end of the series so far.

Wed or Dead by Cynthia Eden is the second half of the book and this was a really good story plenty of action and I wouldn't be suprised to see more characters finding their mates in books later on (hope so anyway).

Like a Wolf With a Bone by Shelly Laurenston

SL takes a leap into the past; more specifically the 70's, to tell us how Eggie Rae Smith and Darla Mae met and fall in love. Eggie Rae is the infamous father of Dee-ann; the deadly leading lady from "Big Bad Beast" and it's easy to see where she got her killer instincts from and who she honed them with. Eggie Rae is a wolf that not just other wolves, but other shape shifting species as a whole steer clear of. His reputation as a killer precedes him, yet the innocent but feisty Darla Mae sees something in him that no one else does. When Darla Mae finds herself in trouble, she couldn't ask for a better protector, whilst Eggie Rae will utilise all his skills to ensure that anyone who even attempts to hurt Darla Mae doesn't survive their attempt.

Although the 70's setting is only vaguely referenced, this author excels at creating a wonderful cast of characters whose interaction and word play can be hilarious, deeply touching or fiercely passionate. 5 stars

Wed or Dead by Cynthia Eden

It's a whirlwind romance then ends in a quickie wedding in Vegas; yet both the newlyweds have a secret agenda. Kayla is a Hunter tasked with getting close to her new husband Gage; a known werewolf. Gage in return realises that Kayla is his mate and hopes to prove that not all werewolves are the bloodthirsty killers Kayla assumes them all to be. When Kayla finds her loyalties divided between the Hunter organisation and her growing feelings for Gage, she makes a decision to protect him. Yet this decision may have come too late, as both are betrayed and captured by their enemies.

There is plenty of explosive action and drama packed into this supernatural romance, with a pair of leading lovers you can really root for. 4 stars

I have always loved reading Cynthia and Shelly's books because no matter what mood I'm in.....they always cheer me up! So as I started reading this book, I couldn't help but wonder what I was in for. I mean, would I cry or laugh or shout 'Bad! Don't do it!'. But to be honest the book was amazing and wonderful to read. It was everything I excepted it to be and more.....so much more! Shelly and Cynthia have really out done themselves with Howl For It! I am really looking forward to reading their future books.

I won't spoil the book for you because I want you to experience the magical book for yourself!

Eggie Ray - my absolute favourite character and I wish Ms Laurenston had given us more more more about him - he is the reason I bought all her books and still not enough - although to be fair, loved the whole d!!!! family (all the d!!! families)

Introduced me to Cynthia Eden. I've enjoyed Laurenston for a while and it was nice to have a prequel. Will be picking up some more of Ms Eden's work.
