If you remember seeing and enjoying some of the episodes of Howard's Way when it was first broadcast, then I can thoroughly recommend this box set of the complete series.
Every episode is riveting and there are numerous sub plots to keep you guessing. Cliffhangers keep you on the edge of your seat and with a box set you don't have to wait until next week to find out what happened.
The various characters are beautifully portrayed by talented actors, my own particular favourite being Jack Rolfe of the Mermaid Yard, determined to keep his boatyard at all costs.
Treat yourself to hours of superb entertainment. I'm on the 4th series and can't wait to see the next episode.

Never saw it first time around. The most wonderful time shift back to the 80s with outrageous clothes, phenomenal alcohol consumption and challenged acting!
If you sail, boat or live in the Solent area; unmissable. Where else can you see Hamble high street remade as Italian village or Warsash as NY? Endless grey skies boating - bliss. Hours of enjoyment.

Watching this now, proves to me that writing a series like this just never happens anymore.
The twists and turns in the story are superb, the fashions elegant, the manners of all generally lovely and polite.
The obvious affairs are not explicit but well done.
Just 1 hours worth of Howards Way would now take 6 episodes to tell, that is how poor the story lines are today.
I wish the writer of this series would do more, he or she is brilliant, I am addicted to this series, I love it. BRILLIANT.
