Excellent reading 12 Jun 2010
By D.V.J.
Format:Audio CD
I enjoyed this unabridged reading of Howard's End very much. It is read by a single reader, British actress Nadia May, and she does a terrific job of bringing all the characters to life, managing to both differentiate between them, and also to keep them consistent throughout -- no mean feat across 9 CDs!

The CDs have new tracks every three minutes or so, so it is easy to find your place again after a break.

I am new to audiobooks (not sure why I left it so long) but this has been a delightful experience all round and a very good way to 'read' a great classic.

Needless to say, the text itself is superb -- both amusing and thought-provoking, a great portrait of Edwardian England.
