This book offers a pragmatic and structured approach sales. While sales isn't rocket science, there are so many sales people who don't follow any of the principles in this book. These principles make all the difference between good and bad sales, e.g. he emphasises the importance of creating a sense of urgency to close the sale and also gives advice on how to do this. Nicholas is skilled in simplifying complexities in an easy-to-read manner.

I recommend this book as the best possible starting point for those new to sales, and a fantastic refresher for those who are experienced sales people. I was pleasantly surprised at how many new techniques and nuggets I picked up, e.g. in the section covering presentation tips.

I am confident you won't regret reading this book.

Written in an easy to digest format. 6 pages in and I was using the techniques to drive REAL results for my sales teams. New ideas run along side tried and tested methodology. No matter how well trained you are in the fine art of selling you will gain true benefit from this excellent read.

Knowing Nicholas Bate for a long time and knowing his success over many years inspired me to learn about "how" he has done it. I've read a number of his books and they all offer great lessons for business people as well as for life. This book I needed right now and used it to go over the basics of selling and the more detailed/practical side of selling. There's no doubt in my mind that Nicholas has been very successful at selling his wisdom and expertise and many have benefited from it including myself. So when I heard he'd captured some of his "selling wisdom" in a book, I had to have a copy and I'm glad I did. It's now affecting my business bottomline profits!
