Book Description

26 Aug 2011
This title offers a fascinating 'inside-out' view of how the horse uses its body, that is presented in a graphic, easy-to-follow way to aid you in improving all aspects of riding and training. Discover the true effect of riding and training on each part of the horse by seeing the skeleton and major muscles painted on the outside. It includes practical exercises that demonstrate how to improve movement, build the right muscles and increase suppleness in the horse. It includes step-by-step guidance on the correct way to warm-up your horse and stretching routines to help guard against injury. 5.0 out of 5 stars How Your Horse Moves 21 April 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This book is recommended reading for a one day horse massage course that I am doing. Each section is broken down and clearly explained and then salient points are highlighted at the end of each section. The pictures of the horse with the muscles and bones coloured on the horse are extremely useful. Highly recommend this book for anyone interested in body work with horses.

5.0 out of 5 stars My new favorite book 15 Sep 2012
By T. Caraway - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
This is not the most detailed anatomy book ever, but it makes a great amount of information very understandable. The paintings of the bones and musculature are quite engaging. Studying this book will let almost anyone have a working understanding of the horse's body; and therefore, why some things work and some things don't. It also has a helpful section on conditioning and stretching.
