I wanted - badly - to like this book. I loved Honemymoon with my Brother and met the two of them during their promotional tour for it - great guys, great book, great story. I was excited about this book and I preordered it, unable to wait for it to arrive. Unfortunately, while I enjoyed it, it doesn't transcend average. First of all, it's more of a love story between Franz and his (now, new) wife. The travel that does happen is primarily interviews with random folks in different countries that results in Franz making generalizations about their lifestyles and attitudes toward love. (It seems to strive to be a sociological look at love in different cultures, but without being a systematic study with any scientific grounding behind it.) Essentially, it's a memoir about Franz finding love, set in a larger context of anecdotes about love world-wide, all chosen to complement his budding relationship.
