Product Description

There are many reasons why a parent may want to work at home, but none is as fulfilling as being available when your child experiences all of those "firsts". If you want to work at home, but are wondering how you will manage to be productive with a toddler in the house, I am here to tell you it can be done! It is not as hard as you think it is. Sure, it takes some special preparations, but you don't have to ship your child off to the baby-sitter to make this happen. For many of us, a baby-sitter would cut into the salary too much to make it cost effective. In fact, finances are probably why you are looking into working at home. This is a concise guide with practical advice from a Mom who has been where you are. I know you don't have time for fluff. You need advice you can act upon so that you can start making money right away. I have done this. You just need a little coaching, and you can work at home with your toddler too. I brought home paperwork from my physician husband's office and sold on Ebay and eventually branched out to my own business, all while happily raising my four children. I am doing what I have always wanted to do. You can too!

If this book has helped you to work at home more effectively , please leave a 4 or 5 star review and a short comment to tell what you liked best.

5.0 out of 5 stars working from home 21 Sep 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It's becoming more common to work from home which is an ever growing challenge if you have under 5's. This book offers practical and easily implementable advice to make that process a bit easier for both parent and child. I look forward to trying out some of the tips on my very chatty 2 year old who really doesn't understand mummy has to work.

I thought that this book was fantastic. The author is obviously well versed on this subject. She offered some very inciteful ideas on raising toddlers and growing a home businness without pulling your hair out. I'd recommend this book to anyone who is raising a child and working a career at home. Great book. Thanks so much.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wish I Had This Book When My Kids Were Toddlers 15 Nov 2012
By JMAuthor - Published on

I truly wish I had this book a few years back, when I had 3 children under the age of 3 and was trying to juggle motherhood and working from home. Now I have 5 kids and although they are older, there is much to glean, even now, from this book!

First off I loved that Ms. Lepiane starts off with her story. Not many authors do this, and for me, that is very important in non-fiction books. It sets the stage so the reader understands where Ms. Lepiane is coming from, and how what she is about to share is valuable.

The books is well laid out. From setting yourself, your office and your toddlers up in such a way that you can be productive, instead of floundering around. She shares very helpful suggestions for organization, how to avoid distractions and even time saver snacks so you don't go crazy when your toddler(s) vie for your attention (which causes distraction).

From scheduling, to being flexible, Ms. Lepiane really lays out a wonderful foundation for you to be able to work from home with your toddler or toddlers. There are numerous suggestions for nap time, special rug time, outside time and so much more. I truly wish I had this book when my kids were toddlers. If you want to work from home and need some guidance as to how to do that with small children at home, pick up this book today. I highly recommend it and will be sharing it with my friends!

Having toddlers and working from home isn't an easy task. Of course it is great to spend time with your kids but when it comes to sharing time between kids and working from home things can get difficult. Fortunately this guide exists! It is a great help for everyone who wants to organize himself and have enough time for both the kids and work.

5.0 out of 5 stars How to work at home with a toddler 1 Oct 2013

I gave this book 5 stars because the ideas presented were excellent, not just for working at home but for parenting in general! As a homeschooler myself, I could see her homeschooling values playing out in how she handled her organization and teaching skills! Excellent! I soooo agree with not using the TV for a babysitter!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars How To Work At Home With A Toddler has a lot of great tips and solutions. , 23 Sep 2013
By Amazon Customer - Published on

How To Work At Home With A Toddler is a quick and interesting read. Lepiane's voice and point of view is clear and to the point. You feel like she is talking directly to you. The tips and solutions are simple and will be easy to follow through on. You will find yourself thinking "why didn't I think of that?"

By altering the tips a bit you could also make them work if you have an "at home" spouse or dog that demand your attention during your work day.
Lepiane shows you how to take control of your day by setting boundaries and organizing your day in advance. She also teaches you how to be more focused and productive.

I am giving this book five stars because the content has provided me with solutions that will make my work day flow easier. It will also reduce the stress of working at home and create a balance between my professional and personal life.
