Review

If you decide to read this book, I think that you will enjoy it; and my only request is that you remember me when you put its principles into practice. I would appreciate a little commission.

Product Description

This book is designed to provide valuable insight into how to improve the return on your investment when playing the lottery. While it does not promise that you will win more often, it does show you how to improve the odds of winning larger amounts when your numbers do come up. So, when you do win that million-dollar jackpot, you will be less likely to have to share it with anyone else.

Among the intriguing topics covered are the most popular (and the most foolish) combinations of numbers, why it is impossible to improve the odds of any legitimate lottery, how popular (and thus unprofitable) an attractive-looking ticket might be, why not to follow the suggested numbers from so-called "expert advisors" and why it is important to avoid winning combinations of past drawings. With this book and a little luck, the dream of winning millions might just come true.

Well written book by a professional. Convincing arguments for
what not to do and why.

HOW TO WIN MORE is the most sensible book I have ever read on the subject of lottery wins.
It outlines the really intelligent means by which a lottery win
can be increased.
Suggesting random number selection, the writers outline four arithmetic
tests based on rigorous and intense research.
The maths are not mind blowing but are simply and easily described,
An excellent purchase.

In my experience, there are very few good reference books for the serious lottery players who know that if a 6/49 jackpot is their aim, then their number is likely to be up before their numbers come up, but who nevertheless know that should they be lucky, they can win an above-average amount if they have used the correct strategy. I am aware of only three such books, "How To Win More", "Dr. Z's 6/49 Lotto Guidebook" (Ziemba et al) and "Taking Chances" (Haigh). There is a plethora of bad books but I need not name any, it being sufficient for me to say that any tome that claims to be able to improve the actual chances of winning, without acknowledging that the only way to do this is to buy more tickets, is preying on the reader's gullibility.

How To Win More is indisputably the best of the three "good books". Dr. Z's 6/49 Lotto Guidebook is interesting but it contains only limited information that is of any real use and is, in any event, out of print and thus now very difficult to obtain (I bought mine recently in a second-hand bookshop in the USA). Taking Chances covers many areas where probability is relevant but the usefulness of its lottery chapter is essentially limited to a summarised résumé of what is in the other two books.

How To Win More is excellent but beware of the temptation to assume that all of the various factors which it says are important carry equal weight. I have spent the past eight years on and off analysing lottery results, in the UK and elsewhere, and as a consequence I am now confident that there are two, and only two, factors that make a genuinely significant difference to the potential profitability of any combination of numbers in a lottery entry. One of these two factors is well documented, and knowledgeable readers of this review will be familiar with it. The other factor is every bit as influential and yet not only is it not mentioned in any of the "good books" but I have also not seen it identified anywhere else, including in any of the handful of lottery-related academic research papers that Google has located for me.

I'm sure that you would not really expect me to say what the second factor is but, hopefully, reading How To Win More will kindle your interest in the subject sufficiently for you to perhaps set off on your own research journey!
