Book Description

Sally and Nick are playing in the rain—and getting really muddy! So when the Cat in the Hat offers to show them how animals get clean, the kids are keen to find out. But can Sally and Nick really get rid of the mud by taking dust baths, like a sparrow? Or by licking themselves, like a lion? And where are they going to find an oxpecker to pick it off them, like a hippo has? (Besides, oxpeckers tickle!) Maybe there's a better way for a kid to get clean? Based on an episode of the new PBS Kids program The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About That!, this 16-page Pictureback comes with a sheet of adorable stickers featuring all the mud encrusted characters.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not the Dr Seuss I loved as a child 28 Mar. 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
...and certainly nothing to respect as an adult.
My 3 year old daughter doesn't mind it enough to request it (after we've read all of her favourites) in an attempt to stall before lights out.
I enjoy the intention of the book but sadly nothing else.

4.0 out of 5 stars OK book with stickers 17 Nov. 2012

We got a bunch of four dollar Cat in the Hat (CITH) books of various formats as party favors for my son's 4th birthday party. As you might expect, all of the books in this price range are no match for more expensive titles like Inside Your Outside: All About the Human Body (Cat in the Hat's Learning Library). Those more expensive titles generally offer more bang for the buck, but sometimes it's nice to have shorter stories when you're running late. I'm reviewing the cheaper ones in relation to each other.

How Wet Can You Get discusses how different animals around the world get clean. It includes 17 small stickers relevant to the story. These CITH format books remind me of Curious George titles like Curious George at the Aquarium. Both series are good but maybe CITH are a bit more educational.
3.0 out of 5 stars Missing pages? 17 Jun. 2013

I had this book downloaded onto my phone and even though I'm at page 15 of 15, it says I'm at location 88 of 92 so I can't even be sure the book downloaded completely. The story just drops off so I think it's missing pages. I gave it 3 stars because I can't be sure whether or not I received the full book I paid for.

Suess is the best, No child should grow up without Dr. Suess in their life. The books are fun and make learning to read easier.

Short & sweet book. Wish it was a tad longer, but the kids enjoyed it so we gave it 4 stars
