4.0 out of 5 stars stunning book 22 Jun 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase
this book really is stunning. its a work of art and my son who is 5 loves to look at it. however he is too young for the content at the moment and i think it tries to cover A LOT of wide issues with some very small paragraphs. dont let that put you off though the 3d diagrams etc make this a great buy

5.0 out of 5 stars A great beginners science book. 31 Mar 2011
I bought this book because I was looking for something to help me explain some basic natural science to my 6 and 7 year old sons. This book does that and more. Beautifully presented without being flimsy, the diagrams are engaging and the text explains concepts clearly and simply without ever being babyish. We've had the book for four days now and last night I caught my 7 year old reading it under the bed covers after lights out. For me, that's the best kind of recommendation.

4.0 out of 5 stars informative in a fun way 22 Aug 2011
By rost
I bought this book for a nine year old nephew. He was thrilled with it. The pop out figures add to the fun element of the book which is very informative. Excellent value.
