3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad but... 29 Jan 2009
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
Anyone who is a cat lover will find this interesting to read although if you are familiar with many cats you will learn little that is new. I also only gave it three stars because I was disappointed at the lack of pictures, and the sketches were quite poor. The pictures on the front and back cover are the best.

Anyone with a cat recognises an individual's call for a certain type of food or affection, so the pages on that subject aren't relevant although are fun to read. For example our neighbour's cat Tigger has a specific meow for milk and another visitor, Popeye, has a very distinctive "let me in" call.

We all know that cats like to play, some like solitude, some want to be with you all the time, have their favourite diet, enjoy variety, and so on.

So overall you will not learn much from this book if you are already very familiar with cats, but it is nevertheless entertaining to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars how to talk to your cat 26 Aug 2009
I think this book is really good, it shows all the cats body language, and their rituals, it really did help me understand my cat and become better friends with her.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very interesting summary of cat behaviour 30 Nov 2001
By A Customer
A very interesting book, if some of it was a little on the basic side. It concentrated more on general cat behaviour that on explaing specific cat-human body language and vocalisation. However, it did contain some information that was new to me, and was well presented and written throughout.
Overall, it had some good ideas and points to make. Definitely good value for money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Contents not as silly as the title sounds 24 Feb 2010
Excellent book for people who have little knowledge of cat behaviour. It covers the basics in an easy to understand style.
