Product Description

Typical! Stella's mum and new stepfather have just got married, so Mum and Uncle Bill have gone off on a swanky honeymoon, while Stella's been dumped at Evergreen Summer Camp. Guess what? She's not happy about it.

Things get worse. Stella loses all her hair (by accident!) and has to share a dorm with snobby Karen and Louise, who are determined to make her life miserable. Worse still, despite her mum's assurances that she doesn't have to go in the pool if she doesn't want to, she is forced into terrifying swimming lessons with Uncle Pong!

This book was the first book I ever read by Jaqcueline Wilson and it is ACE!It is about a girl nicknamed Baldie (after her hair-cut).She is forced to go to summer camp while her mum is off on a honeymoon. She doesn't feel excited;but it turns out to be heaps of fun!!!Read this book to find out what happens when she meets an author and is asked to write an article in a magazine... Believe me if there is one bril book to read its this one!You wont regret buying it. It is JUST FANTASTIC!

Great, great, great 7 Feb 2006
Format:Paperback
This book was the best book I have ever read. You should read this book because it is very funny. The main character gets laughed at a lot by her friends because she looks strange with her odd hair. I would recommend this book to people who enjoy funny stories and people who can read well.

I am very similar to Stella the main character because I'm a girl with short hair and there are lots of expensive things in this book including Swiss pens and Stella's favourite book called 50 Favourite Fairy Tales. It's very funny when she makes up 5 topsy turvy tales for a magazine called Star and colours in a pig and pretends it's the brigadiers daughter Miss Hamer Cotton.

Disappointment
I've read a lot of Jacqueline Wilson's books, so I can say that this one really disappointed me. Only a few really funny and creative bits.
