Though only 26 per cent of the UK adult population now smokes (down from a peak of 80 per cent), smoking is actually on the increase among young people. A particular problem exists with teenage girls, though children as young as 8 to 12 are smoking. This book, by the foremost expert in the subject, offers a clear, practical guide to parents on how to stop their children smoking, starting with the first rule of Don't Be Complacent. This is a unique book that addresses a growing problem that all parents worry about.

About the Author

An accountant by training, Allen Carr broke his 100 cigarettes-a-day habit and devised his famous methods to help fellow-addicts. He built a hugely successful network of stop-smoking clinics across the world and is the author of The Easy Way to Stop Smoking, The Easy Way to Enjoy Flying and The Easyweigh to Lose Weight. He was diagnosed with lung cancer in the summer of 2006 and died in November of the same year. It seems likely that the years he spent curing smokers in smoke-filled sessions at his clinics must have contributed to this illness, but Allen Carr remained positive, 'Given that I am informed that I have cured at least 10 million smokers on a conservative estimation, it's a price worth paying.'

This book is aimed at arming the parent with the facts on how to comunicate the message of helping their children to avoid the nictine trap. It works! I tried it and boy its so full of the right information. Well done Allen Carr!!!

Well the book would have been ok if it hadn't had writing on every single page and words underlined, distracting you from the text. To be honest I spent about 5 mins with the book, before I just got annoyed and put it down again. Should learn not to waste money on books from Amazon again, and buy them new!!!
