More About the Author

David Byram is a regular twenty nine year old British guy, who qualified from university with an MA in English and now works as an assistant editor in the publishing industry. He is engaged to Emma and they are looking forward to tying the knot in 2014.

David's interests include reading, listening to an eclectic mix of music, fusion cooking and taking his disobedient, but adorable Siberian Husky for long walks.

David suffered with nail biting from a very early age and tried many times to stop. Dissatisfied with the commonly available remedies, he decided he would use his researching skills to find alternative treatments. To his surprise he uncovered many, little known, proven treatments which have enabled him to be free from nail biting for over five years.

David is passionate about helping others to kick this horrible and debilitating habit once and for all. If you are a nail biter and want to give up this book is for you.

David Byram graduated from university with an MA in English, he has been working in the publishing industry as an Assistant Editor. David's interests include reading, fusion cooking, listening to an eclectic range of music and taking his disobedient (but adorable) husky for long walks. What a wonderful book! This was a spontaneous buy, as I've tried numerous home remedies with little luck, but thought I would give it a go to see if there was anything I hadn't thought of already!

Well I was pleasantly surprised! There are some unusual ideas which are surprisingly effective and there is plenty of background information on how the habit develops. It certainly helps to have it broken down; it makes it very easy to reflect on your own behaviours and analyse the basic causes!

Not one little nibble since finishing the book... I would suggest you at least give it a try!

I bought this book to help my 12 year old son who has been biting his nails for as long as I can remember.

This book is well written and provides a good selection of methods, some of which I hadn't heard of before.

I sat down with my son and we jointly agreed which one might work best for him. I have to admit it really helped to go through the section that deals with the dangers of nail-biting, especially the bugs that live under your nails - yuck!

It's now been 3 months since he has bitten his nails and I am very proud mum. One side effect is that he seems more confident in himself as well - I recently overheard him giving advice to his friends about how they could give up if they followed 'his' advice!

Definitely recommended for adults and kids.

So far so good. Read it over 2 nights and have been bite free for a month. There are different types of advice to suit different people. I opted for the identifying triggers and focusing on them. I've been to a salon to have a manicure done after 40 years of nibbling.
