1.0 out of 5 stars DO NOT BUY, 22 July 2007

This review is from: How to Solve IQ Puzzles: Boost Your Brain Power (Paperback)
I was looking for a book to practice IQ tests and I thought this would be useful. The intro was good - I thought it made some interesting points. But unfortunately the book is really badly edited with loads of errors - not what you need when you are trying to test yourself. I rang the publisher but they never responded so I guess they aren't bothered. There are loads of books out there like this one - go for one with more accuracy.

1.0 out of 5 stars Replete with errors, 12 April 2009
This review is from: How to Solve IQ Puzzles: Boost Your Brain Power (Paperback)
This book is full of errors. Some of the answers are wrong (e.g question 6 on page 80, to add to the instances mentioned by other reviewers). Page 81 features duplicate shapes printed to the right and above the question. I don't think the editing was wrong - I think it wasn't edited at all. There are plenty of alternative books to get, so opt for something else.

1.0 out of 5 stars Inaccurate!!!, 28 Mar 2009
By
This review is from: How to Solve IQ Puzzles: Boost Your Brain Power (Paperback)
I bought this to practice with on the run up to my IQ test. It's good the way it explains each category of problem but I agree with the review above - there are TONS of errors that waste your time as you spend ages trying to make the problem match the answer, when in reality you had worked it out correctly and the answer was wrong or in some cases, the question was wrong! Question 10 on page 118 for instance! So now I'm left doubting my own abilities as each question I try may have inaccuracies in it. My test is in 4 hours time....argh!
