This is the first book I have ever felt strongly enough to write a bad review about. It was so boring I gave up trying to read it all. It is more like a self appreciation story by the author than a book about raising puppies. The content is so long winded and repetitive. I would advise anyone to spend more time with their dog rather than waste it on reading this book

I think this is a fantastic book, it tells how to raise a puppy from scratch, lots of fantastic info in this book, i.e how to choose a good breeder,choose the correct energy level of a dog to match the owner, how to toilet train and so on. A must have for anyone planning on purchasing a puppy.

I found the book very boring, which was surprising since I love the TV show and think Cesar is very engaging. However, it does give lots of good pointers and for me who has never had a puppy before - only rescue dogs - it has been invaluable. Some of the tips have worked with almost miraculous success. So whilst I cannot recommend as a good read it is certainly a good point of reference.
