it's not often that one is able to read a self-help book from cover-to-cover with the same feeling that you would get when reading a novel or autobiography. this book is a compelling read as it integrates the personal odyssey of the author in his interesting, varied but somewhat tortured life with a well-researched and tabulated array of self-proven possibilties.it is not a universal panacea as there isn't one, but to the sufferer there are some very useful suggestions for treatment which could save a lot of mental and physical anguish, especially to a person in the early stages of the disease.
despite a tendency to become ponderous and laboured this book is well worth the read and engenders a feeling of hope and positivity. i am a journalist and not a psoriasis sufferer and after reading the book i am extremely glad of that fact.
