Book Description

20 Nov 2009
A significant and growing number of churches are using the principles of Mission Action Planning (MAP). This volume argues the case for producing a high-quality plan, describes the practical steps involved, offers real-life examples, and provides evidence of the effectiveness of the process. It is based on research conducted in several dioceses of the Church of England - at diocesan and parish levels. 'The 'MAP' process is well described by Mark Ireland and Mike Chew in this excellent book and I am enormously grateful that they have taken the time and the care to enquire more deeply both into the process and some of the outcomes now in a number of Dioceses.' Lord Hope of Thornes KCVO

5.0 out of 5 stars Vision and practicalities- a winning combo! 10 Feb 2010
By E. Bond
Format:Paperback
If you are doing Mission Action Planning, or thinking about doing it, or even thinking about thinking about doing it- then grab a copy ( or 2 or 3) of this book! In this clear, inspirational book - both 'the Big Picture' ( What is MAP? How it came about/theology behind it) and the small picture - nitty gritty how to/ practical details and lessons learned along the way from those who have been there and done that before you. Easy accessible read for anyone, and plenty of inspiration to fire your vision and imagination. Not simply a good idea- a God idea! "Mission is participation in God's existence in the world" YES!
