a brilliant skill to learn. This book is an easy to read introduction (though the longer book is more interesting)... much more fun than writing reams of notes.

I got it for my dyslexic son to use for school, a great help for him, and handy for me

QUICK AND EASY 20 Aug 2003

This is one of those books where you already know all the information, but it's useful to have it all in one place, in a coherent order (sorta!!).
The mind map technique is great for when you need a structure to help make a difficult decision, or prepare for something nerve racking, although the book advocates its use for virtually everything of course.
The unremitting very 'American' style ("this is the answer to all your problems etc.") has to be ignored, but it's well worth the purchase.
It's easy to read, plus you can probably read the thing in one or two hours. I regard both these things as a bonus in books of this type.

There's a few products which I believe have 'changed my life' and this is one of them!
I bought this small book and read it within a couple of hours to get the 'gist' of how mind mapping worked. I promised myself that I would give it a go and after doing about 3 maps I was hooked!
I use it for my everyday tasks, planning, taking notes with my clients, learning - infact I would never go back to my old ways. I've even got my clients hooked on it, and have taught them to mind map too.
Definitely worth every penny.

Useful part of winning strategy
Buzan's mind maps are extremely useful and every student should know about them. Our poor old brains simply aren't very good at remembering lists of information. Read more

Not impressed
I have heard so much hype about mind-mapping that when I finally got this book it was disappointing to find out someone is actually making money out of this. Read more

A Waste of Money
This is without doubt the worst item I have ever purchased from Amazon. The book is tediously repetitious and extremely patronising. Read more

No need to buy this booklet
Short is good, and this book is very short. In fact it would have been better as a leaflet/ booklet. But who would spend £8 on a leaflet? Read more

A great place to start
If you can adopt mind mapping as your primary method of developing ideas and organising your notes and thoughts then it will not be long before you see some real benefits. Read more

Good introduction
A good introduction and covers the basic concepts very well with good examples and enough to get you started. Did my first mind map the same day and I'm hooked. Read more

Overpriced
For the ideas that it presents, this is over-priced. There are only a few 'rules' presented for mind-mapping, and for anyone who's ever seen a mind-map, those rules are pretty... Read more
