I bought this for my daughter for her birthday quite a while ago (when she was the appropriate age to have it bought for her). It's a lovely little story with really cute pictures and, even now (when she's past the picture book age in general), it's become a sort of tradition in our house to read it the night before her birthday. My son (her little brother) now loves it just as much. The story is ideal bedtime story length - not too long, but enough text and pictures to keep a little one interested.

This is number one in our bedtime repetoire. My three year old loves this book and asks for "Toast" (the main characters name)every evening. A lovely book that lulls her off to sleep without fail.
