Review

"Who knew? A book about the challenges of infertility that is so funny that at times it's an actual page-turner!... A work that will undoubtedly make the journey to parenthood that much easier, if not downright funnier, for scores of couples lucky enough to have discovered [it]."--Toni Weschler, bestselling author of "Taking Charge of Your Fertility"

Product Description

Why are boxers actually better than briefs? How can hamsters help determine what's wrong with my sperm? My wife's already moody enough - why am I injecting her with even more hormones? Do I have to fill the whole cup at the fertility clinic? If you're a man going through fertility treatments with your significant other, these might be just a few of the questions you've faced. And, much to your dismay, you've realised the answers are a lot harder to find than you'd like. Until now. "How to Make Love to a Plastic Cup" is the man's guide to anything and everything related to infertility. But it's not just the same old boring nuts and bolts (no pun intended). Author Greg Wolfe, who went through four cycles of IVF on his journey to fatherhood, lays it all out with side-splitting humor. From understanding a woman's cycle, to 'porn etiquette' at the clinic, to detailed instructions on administering hormone shots, this book has everything a man needs to know to get the job done. For those men tired of searching the bookshelves for a volume that speaks to their experiences in the wild world of infertility (and for those women whose men don't quite get it), there's no need to look further. "How to Make Love to a Plastic Cup" covers the whole gamut of information for couples dealing with infertility in a fresh, engaging way any man can appreciate.

Finally a great book for guys on the infertility journey! 15 Mar 2011
By Kate - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I have read easily 20 books on infertility and have searched and searched for a book for my husband. I finally found it and my husband devoured the book. This book goes well beyond describing generic information about ivf and general infertility. My husband especially loved the humor the author used - infertility is so heavy that it's nice to be able to laugh at the process. Definitely buy this book are you looking for something your husband can relate to!

A slick book, on a slippery subject! 26 Sep 2010

I totally hijacked my husband's e-mail to write this review. This clever book was a journey within a helpful guide that I didn't want to leave on the nightstand for the next day. It was so funny, I was laughing out loud throughout the book and my husband was constantly asking me what could possibly be so funny about fertility. Apparently, a tremendous amount of ha-ha funny mixed with familiar funny that was perfect. The writer is so good at giving supportive information on a tough process while also telling a wonderful personal story from his own guy brain. I mean the chapter names alone make it worth reading. This is a must guide for the guy in your life and he will actually enjoy it!

Hilarious writing about a truly sensitive topic 23 Mar 2011
By JBLong - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I bought this book after my husband experienced fertility issues while conceiving our second child. I honestly have not laughed so hard in a long time. My husband is not a big reader, but after reading a few excerpts to him, he picked it up and couldn't put it down. Plus, the information is right-on with personal stories from the author's own struggles which I think helped my husband relate to. I highly recommend this book for men (and their wives) struggling with fertility problems!
