Hello, I'm Jon Moon, the author of 'how to make an impact'. Here's some comments to help you decide if this book is for you, and if it is, to help you get the most from it.

WHAT'S IN THE BOOK
Firstly, let's correct a bit of an oversight... no-one's told you specifically what the book covers. Yes, both the write-up on Amazon and the book jacket say how the book will redefine this, change that, and so on - but neither tells you what's in the book. The chapter titles sum it all up: (1) bullet points, (2) graphs, (3) tables, (4) making comparisons, (5) slides, (6) numbers, (7) document design, (8) variances, KPIs and `flashes' (this one's more for accountants), (9) organisation charts, (10) next steps.

Chapter (1) might seem a curiosity - a whole chapter on bullets...? In it, I introduce WiT, my seriously better alternative to bullet points. But don't take my word for it... find out for yourself in chapter 1.

WHO'S WHO
In the Amazon write-up, you see some comments from Michael Izza, the CEO of the `ICAEW'. For those not into acronyms, the ICAEW is the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

HOW TO GET MORE FROM THE BOOK

About the Author

Jon Moon is a trainer and consultant in presenting business information clearly. His clients include leading UK business schools and major international companies such as AIG and Unilever. He has delivered talks to the charity sector, to senior civil servants for the training function of the UK’s Cabinet Office and worked with the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Before becoming an independent consultant, Jon was Finance Director of an insurance company and Acquisitions Partner in a FTSE 250 company where he worked on acquisitions, strategy reviews and competitor analysis. He has travelled 100,000 miles investigating frauds. He publishes in the accounting, HR and insurance trade press.
