Product Description

Felt, one of man's earliest fabrics, dates back to prehistoric times, but is still popular today. Easily hand-made in the home from woollen fleece, simply by adding moisture, heat and pressure, it has many creative applications. This book, written by an experienced feltmaker, shows readers, through photographs, how to make felt and how to create a wide range of items: hats, bags, slippers, rugs, blankets, masks and wall-hangings. Other projects include: dyed or undyed felt, plain or patterned; inlaying of multi-coloured designs into felt; unusual wools such as llama, camel or alpaca; and sewn or embroidered felt.

An excellent step-by-step introduction to the craft of feltmaking. Clear instructions with good photographs of the techniques makes the first steps in feltmaking easy.
If you are new to feltmaking and want a clear introduction then this is the book.
