Fantastic debut for Melanie Stace,

How pleased I was to see a debut album from Melanie Stace, the extremely talented singer and star of many musicals and shows. there are many hits from both Hollywood and Broadway shows and two fantastic duets with both Petula Clarke on 'I Know Him So Well' and 'Soon' with Tim Flavin. There are many stand out tracks on this album but 'Some Cats Know' is my personal favourite as she performed it on the Tribute to Lieber and Stoller DVD. All in all a fantastic album for anyone who loves more contempary music or Broadway musicals.

'How Lucky' is the amazing debut album from Melanie Stace. There is something on this disc for everyone, classic showtunes, jazz numbers and standards. The album will certainly appeal to fans of Streisand and Minnelli with her warm renditions of 'How Lucky Can You Get', 'Maybe This Time' and a haunting version of 'What Did I Have I Don't Have Now'. As a bonus there are even two duets! Petula Clark is present in fine voice on 'I Know Him So Well' and Melanie's costar Tim Flavin croons the Gershwin classic 'Soon'. This certainly isn't the last we're going to hear of Melanie Stace...
