While the advice in this book is good, I found it a little hard going due to the way it is worded. However, if you can see past the clunky language, there are plenty of tips and I was impressed with the length of the book, much longer than other self-help e-books I have read. There is also a section covering the importance of loving yourself as it can have repercussions on your physical health, which is a good motivator for changing your way of thinking. You'll also learn the causes of your feelings, and of course, how to do something about it.

They say the root of all anxiety, shyness and depression problems stem from the fact you don't physically love yourself, you're happy with yourself. For you to be able to start to overcome these bigger problems, you must first be able to love yourself. This short e-book guide will put you on the right track and show you the way. There are plenty of tips to help guide you a long. A great read.

This book starts with a definition of love which I like "love is self-preservation, justice, conscience, discipline and respect. It can't be anything but compassionate and empathic." The authors explain that love is essential for living and in actual fact we all deserve love. However in order to love others we have to learn to love ourselves first and sometimes this is where people have difficulties. This book attempts to show us how to love ourselves and the importance of doing so. It highlights the health benefit s of loving oneself and the negative health conditions that can occur where there is no self -love. Not loving oneself leads to depression anxiety, heart disease etc.
Loving yourself helps to improve self-esteem and can help you sleep better. The authors touch on William Glaciers choice theory and conclude that we must make a conscious choice to love ourselves and change those things about ourselves we do not like.
I particularly liked the section in the book titled "things to ask yourself" The authors itemised questions people need to ask themselves to determine why they do not love themselves. In addition the book examines the subsequent negative thoughts that follow these questions eg "I don't deserve to be happy", "I don't deserve to be loved etc . Answering these questions honestly and dealing with these negative thoughts would help you figure out why you do not love yourself and then you can start to think about what makes you happy , focus on those and start to heal yourself.
This is an interesting book that will help you take positive action towards healing from within. There are also activities included in the book to help you take that first step towards loving yourself

I would title this book "Become aware of self love" and not "how to love yourself" because it didn't actually help me and left me with the question "yes but how". I would not recommend this read.
