I've attended a few international events on sustainable development and have been continually suprised at the lack of continuity between meetings. This makes things difficult for new people to enter the process. 'How to Lobby' provides practical and political advice that has helped me to structure the way I attend these meetings. The book looks at UN processes in a lighthearted way, with an excellent analysis on what UN terminology and jargon really means. One critic called one of the authors, Felix Dodds, 'the Milo Mindbender of the UN System'. For anyone who has read Catch 22, it is easy to understand why.
