An excellent general reference text. I have used it in innumerable essays, it is always very handy to have around for looking things up. It's expensive, but worth the money - if you only buy one evolution textbook, get this one.

Highly recommended.Good size print and this edition's content was the best of the ones that are avaialable according to my Archaeology student daughter for whom the book was purchased. Brilliant book, very useful CD too which is a fabulous revision aid.
