Product Description

Stoner comedy following in the footsteps of Cheech and Chong. Rap artists Method Man and Redman star as two weed-smoking buddies who, after smoking something especially magical, become gifted with incredible brainpower - and do so well in their college entrance exams that they are offered places at Harvard University. Once embarked on the Ivy League trail, however, the friends run out of their supernatural supply, and have to find more inventive ways to complete their education...

From Amazon.co.uk

Grab your favourite munchies: Red and Meth, that dope-addled dynamic duo, are going to Harvard. And while it's not exactly demanding viewing, How High is destined to become a guilty pleasure of the cannabis crowd. The plot's a familiar one--take the basic selling points of any Cheech & Chong movie (a pair of shambolic protagonists who smoke lots of weed and drive funky 70s-style cars), graft them onto a generic "raising hell on campus" teen movie scenario and shake vigorously. The result is a prosaic effort that does contain some all-too-brief moments of genuine humour. Red and Meth, aka Redman and Method Man, may look like the world's oldest freshmen, but both offer genial performances, especially Method Man, who imbues the character of Silas with a dog-eared gentleness that raises him above the film's leaden script and plastic directing. --Rebecca Levine

Brilliant. Deserves to be considered a classic. Truly a work of genius...
One of the funniest, off the wall-best value comedies you will see. Right from the start the pace is relentless with great gags and one liners, all suprisingly well delivered by Methodman and Redman. You don't have to be a smoker to enjoy this movie, as it's great fun with brilliant characters, particularly the Chinese homeboy wannabee. I watched this film not knowing what to expect and was delighted with it.
Highly recommended. Buy it.

The funniest stoner movie in a long time. From early on alot of people were sceptical about rappers moving into movies but Red and Meth do not fail to disappoint. Their comedic timing must entirely be their own because there's no way all of the funniest parts could have been scripted! It's hard to fathom that two guys so prominant in hip hop (c'mon, Wu Tang?) are so hilariously funny. Jamal and Silas are thrown together by of course their love of weed. Silas however fancies himself as a self taught Botanist where as Jamal is just your typical jobless bum (which his mother is oh so kindly reminding him) They manage to cheat their way through enrty tests to get into a prestigious school, with the help of Silas's smart dead friend Ive, who's ashes they smoke after he dies in a weed / fire related death.
The hilarity ensues when these two some what 'ghetto' kids begin to terrorise an all white school who's principle is what they might call an 'uncle tom'.
This principle is none to pleased about these kids and tries everything in his power to get them out, even after Silas falls for the girlfriend of the schools kiss-ass and Jamal manages to get with the Vice Presidents daughter, who isnt all she seems!!

We get to see a guest appearance from Cypress Hill, Mike Epps (Next Friday) (Essence Atkins (All of Us, Dance Flick) and Lark Voorhies (Saved By The Bell, Fresh Prince of Bel Air) . . so there REALLY IS something for everyone.

I've read a lot of negative reviews for How High all over the internet.
Well, ignore them, cos' How High is funny most of the time and hilarious in places. The chemistry between Meth and Redman is perfect for the flick and the supporting cast is superb.
It's a feel-good tasteless comedy that does exactly what it says on the tin, but if you're a fan of the duo or just a weed-smoker, this is essential viewing.

I liked this a lot. Good mad comedy. The supporting cast were excellent from the two "virgin" girls, the nerd campus police type guy who turns into a pot freak to the old white pro black teacher and the pimp and his assistant and lots of other characters like the Dean who didn't like Red and Method coz they were too "ghetto". There are also a lot of very nice ladies in the film and the prostitute with black hair is really hot. The film got really good at the end and digging the body up and hacking off the arm was very funny. Huge amount of herb smoking in the film that added to it's crazy comedy value. Very good comedy and highly recommended to lovers of a really good laugh.

Two guys by the name of Silas and Jamal decided to one day smoke something magical, which eventually helps them to ace their college entrance exam. This eventually lands them in Harvard, where they're surrounded by the world of Ivy Leaguers. Although their new lifestyle is much different from back home, they kept on having fun until their supernatural smoke runs out. Now, they are on their own and they have to rely on each other to survive.

Any hip hop headed, weed smokin person will love this film. One of the best films of all time. Red and meth are def an the soundtrack is awesome, infact so awesome i went an downloaded it straight after. So funny, specially when they 'dig up a smart dead guy to smoke his ass' when they run out of bud and have to pass their exams. Buy it. You wont be disapointed unless your a stuck up, anti-ganga, hip hop hater.
