Book Description

30 Sep 2010 World According to Clarkson 4

Volume 4 in the bestselling World According to Clarkson series

Jeremy Clarkson had a dream. A world where the nonsensical made sense, the idiotic was abolished and the sheer bloody brilliant was embraced. In How Hard Can It Be? our hero embarks on a quest to set the world to rights. Again.

En-route he discovers how rhubarb will become the new crack, that a comb over will end anyone's quest for global domination and what unites a Filipino chambermaid in Abergavenny with Prince Andrew.

For anyone who's ever woken up and thought the time has come to stop the nonsense and celebrate the sensational, read on. Because seriously, how hard can it be?

3.0 out of 5 stars Not Clarkson at his Best 5 Nov 2010
Format:Kindle Edition
I bought this book as my holiday read a couple of weeks ago; I was really looking forward to lying on my sun bed chuckling away to myself. I must say I was slightly disappointed, this is definitely not Clarkson at his best. Not as witty or as sharp as usual, and I thought he had chosen some strange subjects to deride. Saying all that he is still one of my favorite authors, and I agree with 99% of what he says. Looking forward to his next offering.

1.0 out of 5 stars Silly kindle price 18 Jan 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
I like JC and have no doubt that this book will be similar to his previous volumes.

But how on earth can the publishers even think they can justify an e-book price so much higher than the paper price. I'll just borrow a copy from my excellent local library.

4.0 out of 5 stars More of the same 17 Oct 2010

Being a dyed in the wool Clarkson fan this tome was always going to meet my expectations. Politically incorrect as always and written with true tongue in cheek humour. I would vote for him as President.

4.0 out of 5 stars Clarkson at his best, or worse, depending on your viewpoint
Jezza is like Marmite. If you like his sense of humour you will love this book, but if not you will hate his biased view on life. Read more

4.0 out of 5 stars Either you like him or you don't.
Clarkson is loudmouthed and self-opinionated, and he knows it. What he is not, in my opinion, is boorish. He sounds off about various subjects with insight and humour. Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars How hard is he trying?
Full of bluff and bluster masquerading as opinion, with the occasional pithy insight, but often merely offensive and juvenile - the logical end of a personalised Nietzschean ethic. Read more
