I agree with the comments from the bloke from Hull. He preaches a very agressive style and I found myself playing much less starting hands. But if you don't have a buddy with as good an understanding of poker as yourself to discuss poker with, you will find the discussion of hands in this book interesting and useful.

good post-flop recommendations,
This review is from: How Good is Your Pot Limit Omaha? (Paperback)
The quiz format works better than I expected, I found myself giving more thought to each hand than if he merely described it and made recommendations. His aggressive post-flop strategy makes good sense, and I have deployed it with positive results in the little £0.15/£0.25 cash games I play (I'm afraid my bankroll isn't up to his levels yet!). My only issue is with his pre-flop starting requirements. They seem extremely loose, and given that his audience will be inexperienced I believe he should be preaching a tighter game (which would work nicely with his aggressive post-flop moves). While I might not be qualified to tell the author what to do, I note that in one hand he says he called simply to avoid boredom! A bit of giveaway - he should get an iPod to amuse himself between hands like the rest of us rocks!

I wish I had his bankroll,

This a worthwhile read for all PLO fans, however a word of warning, if you intend to play as loose and agressive as Mr Rubuen you better have a large bankroll. If you play this way and cant pass when you should you will lose a lot of money. Despite this, this is a good book. It shows how you MUST be aggresive to play PLO.
