Pointless Book, 13 Jun 2008
This review is from: How to Get Things Done: Organize Your Life and Achieve the Results You Want (Pyramid Paperbacks) (Paperback)
I bought this book by mistake, thinking it was Getting Things Done by David Allen - which is a good book.
This is a pointless workbook. All self-help workbooks are pointless. For example, if you are not motivated, you are unlikely to speed time creating and updating a journal about your skills. The book recomments you have a folder where you are add pages with updates on you skills, that you have found by creating lists. I have yet to see motivated people like, Richard Branson or Bill Gates walking around with folder like this.
It, also, has pages where you have to pick out the sort of person you are from a list. For example, are you the type of person who puts things off or are you motivated to get things done. Out of a list of about 10 things, I think I am all of them. Sometimes motivated, sometimes putting things off. Sometimes I'm motivated, when I'm not and the otherway around.
Only buy this if you want to spend time filling in lists instead of doing some work.
