I had several interviews on the buy side until I recently got my first job. If only I had this book when applying as it would have helped me focus and save a lot of time. There's nothing out there like it. It's written using the author's firsthand experience as an equity analyst and I found the step by step guide to writing a stock pitch particularly beneficial. It's definitely a must read for anyone who's even considering a career on the buy side.

This book is a comprehensive, detailed guide useful for recent graduates as well as experienced professionals looking to get a job in equity research. The book provides an overview of the asset management industry and explains the role of a financial analyst. It provides step by step guidance for various types of interviews illustrated by examples. As it covers enough practical knowledge required for the entry level job, it could also serve as a reference guide for new analysts. The book is very affordable and I found it to be a great investment.
