More About the Author

Dusty White (1963-???) is a professional psychic and astrologer with several books to his name. After starting out writing humorous dating advice books for men he wrote "How to Get ANY MAN to do ANYTHING You Want!" for women, and "Aphrodite's Book of Secrets," a step-by-step how-to course to help woman master the physics of metaphysics in their daily lives, which is currently being tested for effectiveness. His latest book is "The Easiest Way to Learn the Tarot--EVER!!" and completes his transition to metaphysics as the focal point of his books. All of the above titles were completed and published while he was living in squalor, and all have gained rave reviews, and one even become top-ten Amazon best-seller. He has since written his way out of poverty and is currently redesigning the Tarot from the inside out. The new deck should be unveiled sometime in 2012.

This book is so badly written its unreadable. The writer clearly has mental issues and hates both men and women, taking time in this book to slag off both. His advice is ludicrous! He thinks the way to get any man to do whatever you want is to basically be a doormat - show up at his work with a picnic (genuinely one of his suggestions) when you're not even with the guy! He thinks that acting like a stalker will make you seem special in a guys eyes and you have to make sure you are always aggreable and submissive and never argue or put across your opinion. I have genuinely never read anything so ridiculous in my life. Both my male friends, brother and dad disagreed completely with what was written. Not to mention the random paragraphs about topics that are completely unrelated, like germs and voting??? I think the writer was on drugs. TRUST ME DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK! Buy why men love bitches instead, amazing book. The one good thing about this book is a $ goes to breast cancer research. Just give them a pound and be done with it. Honestly you will regret buying this book if you do

I absolutely loved it! 12 Jun. 2007
By Elettra Rabito - Published on
Format: Paperback
What a traitor this author must be. Reading this I felt like I was in the guy's locker room alone with a turn coat. The language is a bit raw at times, but not obscene. It's like having an older brother warning you about stuff guys do, and showing you how they think and how to make them get all stupid over you. It was brutally honest. Of course I had to try everything out for myself, and to no surprise, these things worked. Guys for the most part are a lot easier than they let on. A wink and a smile can get you far without having to do anything you feel uncomfortable doing.

Some of what you read here may not sound like it can work, but I have had a lot of fun playing with the advice here, and as long as it works, I am happy to have hot guys doing nice things for me for a change.

So Worth It 10 Jun. 2009

Laugh out loud funny with FANTASTIC insights that every woman should know and maybe deep down already does. This is a fast and entertaining read that will have you taking notes before Saturday night. I got the book on Friday, read it on Saturday and applied what I learned Saturday night...AMAZING. Men really are THAT simple, we make it complicated. I have my copy in my purse and can't get it into my girlfriends hands fast enough. Thank you 'Mister X' for your glimpse into the male psyche and for being a fan in the most positive way for women. Love it!

I liked this better than the other version 2 Oct. 2008
By Yvonne Johnson - Published on
Format: Paperback
This is a fun little book I found at my local beauty salon. It has pretty sound advice about men; how they think, and why they do the things they do. It reads a lot like a collection of Cosmo articles really. It starts off discussing the various archetypes you will generally deal with in terms of how they are in relationships, and why your selection process is so important. Then it goes into how to go about finding your prince charming (if you happen to be looking). The rest of the book deals with what to do with him (or them) once you have him (or them). Of course the author seems to assume that women actually take the time to investigate the men they date before getting too serious. Still, it is rather funny at points. At the end of the book is a state-by-state collection of emergency help numbers. Good to know, but I am not quite sure why they were included. I wonder if the author thinks I will need these for some reason.

The book is divided into a few sections rather than traditional chapters and sub-topics. Probably the most useful part of the book is the section about getting the average guy to do things for you, especially your friends. The basic premise is centered around the old adage that you can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. The point is that by being pleasant to be around, but not weak, or naive, you are working on guy's natural weakness to femininity. The truth that most of us don't seem to talk openly about is that there are a lot of ways to get men to like you without having to play their game. It is refreshing to see the other side of the coin, how men react when you exploit things like your smile, or get them hooked on your personality. Some of what I read here seemed a bit hard to believe, but now that I think about it, it really does make sense even if it is not always possible to do in every situation.

It worked for my daughter 25 April 2007
By M. Medberry - Published on
Format: Paperback
When my single daughter got this book she was so excited but I rolled my eyes thinking, "Whatever." But I have to admit that since she has read this book she has had more confidence and has seemed to come out of her shell. Lately I have seen her out on the porch talking to various guys in the neighborhood who now wave to her everytime they pass by. She said she really liked the section on "how to meet guys". All you have to do is smile, and these days that's all she seems to be doing - smiling. Its nice to see. She gives this book 5 stars. Who knows - maybe this book can help me get my husband to finish all those projects that need to be done around the house - hmmmm.

Witty book that makes a great gift idea! 23 Dec. 2008
By Southern gal - Published on
Format: Paperback
I will have to admit right off the bat that I'm not a big buyer of books on relationships or "getting a man," but this book is fun, witty, conversational - and informative all at the same time.

It is even serves as a sort of workbook, giving the reader places to figure out exactly what she wants - and, of course, doesn't want - in a man. In addition, the book has an appendix that includes a list of "must-own guy movies" and famous quotes for each one. (How handy is that, gals?)

"How to Get a Man to do Anything you Want" would make the perfect gift for that hard-to-buy-for friend or co-worker on your list. Plus, everyone knows a woman who keeps ending up with losers. Do her a favor and buy this book!
