Great Book for Every Single Woman

I was very impressed with this book, although I honestly don't know what I had expected when I selected it. But it's not your run of the mill dating, get-your-man kind of book. This book follows the love story of Ruth and Boaz and uses it for it's inspiration. Along the way we're treated to nuggest of Personal Confessions which are things we can repeat over and over to ourselves, and Man Facts which will help us to understand men a little better. What I really liked about the book was that it didn't push finding a man. It promotes letting the man find you. McKinney-Hammond encourages women to understand themselves and live their lives and stand on FAITH that the perfect man will find them. She helps the reader to get ready for love spiritually, emotionally, and physically by looking deeper inside of themselves. I was totally impressed with this book, because it really can apply not just to men, but other relationships. We really need to know who we are and to know God before we can stand on Faith that love will find us. We need to follow God's plan and trust that when it's the right time, Mr. Right will find us and it will be a wonderful match. My copy has highlight marks all through it so that I can refer back to it again and again. Quite honestly, I'd recommend this to women of all ages, and I think it's a book that can be read at different times in your life and will be significant every time. I encourage anyone who's single (whether you think you're looking or not) to pick up a copy of this. It can only enlighten you!

Great information for both women and men alike

Absolutely a must read, even for men, that would like more information on what women would want to find in a man. Michelle does a wonderful job in making everything clear and Scripturally based. If you want to know, men, what God Himself would expect us to look like for the woman that is praying for her husband, this is one of the great books that Michelle has written to inform both genders regarding a Godly relationship.

Soooooooooo relevent for single women!

I bought the Kindle version of this book yesterday afternoon - and could not put it down - finished it by evening! This was my first time reading this author's works and I love her writing style - clean, crisp, detailed, engaging. She MAKES you want to continue to read and partake of her insights. Add to it that it is SOOOOO relevent for single women - especially women like me, in her 40s - single (never married) and no kids - and almost every other book about dating has so much more info on how to date if you're a single mom or a divorced woman - and the issues they have to deal with. Nothing against my sisters who are (bless you in your strength), but sometimes if feels like people forget about those of us who aren't. Michelle has provided one of the BEST examples of dating for a christian woman - or any woman. The knowledge of Naomi, the image of Boaz protecting and claiming his wife - and Ruth's graciousness and patience in living her life and doing right regardless of her situation - a WONDERFUL example for all women. The bar has been raised again - back where it belongs!
