3.0 out of 5 stars OK, but I knew how to do most of it already!, 16 July 2004

This review is from: How to Do Everything with Your Palm Handheld (Paperback)
This book would be good for any complete technophobe as it explains loads of simple things.

The more complex ones are not covered very deeply, so I didn't learn a great deal from reading the book.

However, it's well laid out and the information, such as it is, is easy to find.

Not great for anyone vaguely familiar with PDAs (This was my first 'write-on'), but good for a complete newbie.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Mine of Information..., 10 Sep 2004
This review is from: How to Do Everything with Your Palm Handheld (Paperback)
Having used a Palm m515 for some eighteen months before I bought this book as an Xmas present, I still found the book a goldmine of information where to find useful programs and tips on 'how-to's'. Covering Palm OS4 and OS5, I've found it extremely useful when I upgraded my m515 to a Tungsten T3 and how to preserve my existing data.

The only critism I have is the running commentary between the writers on diverse subjects does occasioanlly get in the way, but does not detract from the overall good quality of the book.

A very enjoyable book that is well worth the asking price - I'm already looking forward to the next edition!
