2.0 out of 5 stars American style., 15 Jan 2004
This review is from: How to Eat away Diabetes: Beat Type 2 Diabetes by Winning the Blood Sugar Battle (Paperback)
I ordered this book as seemingly an answer to my problem of eating as a diabetic.
However once I dipped into the pages I found this to be an American style of eating, which is almost unreproducable on a British table.
I am thoroughly disappointed and feel quite depressed about this oversight.
Maybe a little mention on the Amazon page would avoid others making this mistake.

2.0 out of 5 stars Wrong book for UK readers, 24 Jan 2005
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Eat away Diabetes: Beat Type 2 Diabetes by Winning the Blood Sugar Battle (Paperback)
I have just been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and thought this book might help me adjust my diet. Unfortunately it is designed for the USA market and much of the content is of no value to UK readers, especially as regards manufacturer specific product. There are booke written for the UK market which are far more useful.

5.0 out of 5 stars This really works!, 4 Jun 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Eat away Diabetes: Beat Type 2 Diabetes by Winning the Blood Sugar Battle (Paperback)
I bought this book shortly after being diagnosed with Type 2. It was one of 3 books and by far the best. It's easy to read and includes detailed information that is non-dramatic & helpful. The information on diet was very informative and I used it as a guide as I altered my diet etc. The recipes were interesting & although I haven't tried many they again reinforced the message about a new way of eating that I found helpful.
After 3 months of following the principles, my diabetes was under control by diet -- so it works!
Other books I've read are very dramatic & sometimes quite scary - this was factual & to the point. Really helpful!
